I left it unlocked. I love about a 1/2 mile from police station and I just didn't think to lock it all the time. Cops think they'd been casing my place for over a year due to USMC plates on my cars. Came home to a smashed window a little under a year ago. Looks like they came back and finished the job.

if you go back and reread that thread carefully, you will find that the entire intent of being a responsible gun owner is properly securing your firearms to mitigate the risk of having your **** ripped off

leaving a gun in your car is not secure (unless you have some super expensive fancy vehicle vault, and considering how many of our members drive 10+ year old honda accords i dont think they have them)
