How did you pick your college football team?

As they say in Alabama, either you’re an Alabama fan or you went to college.
I did go to college but there was no football team. So I never got that fandom reset. I very nearly went to University of Florida (and didn’t) which would have changed my Saturday angst entirely. In the meantime, I have pulled for Alabama my whole life by default.

Moved to USA in 02 and out of all the places in this country ended up in a town I never heard of, Athens, Ga. Go Dawgs!!!!!! Funny enough my family did not understand football for about the first decade living here but always supported the Dawgs as they were the home town team. Now every weekend we never miss dawg football.
I miss the good ole days when Nerd U fielded good teams and the annual Tech/Dawg game had meaning.

I went to college, paid tuition, got grants and loans, attended classes, graduated, small school in IL, 25 miles east of St. Louis, McKendree U. Bearcats.
I came home from the hospital in a UGA t shirt as a new born. My daughter is in her 3rd year there and loves everything Athens/UGA and never misses a home game. We scream and holler but don’t make many games because I get better seats at home without dropping $1000 and 6 hours of driving.
