Depends on the gun I'm shooting. My Berettas are "cover the target" sights and my Kimber is "see the target." Sights are always even and lined up, just how they are relative to the target changes.

This..they're all set up differently, some are 6 o'clock sights and some are POI so just depends

You should level those sights. See where you are hitting the target and make adjustments to you point of aim. It would also help to have an experienced shooter watch you and see if you are pushing shots.

At close range the distance should be very minimal.
