How is a 300 Blackout different from a 556?

Could not find a post with the answers. I know the barrels are different. What other parts if any are different?

It's just a necked up 223 to 30cal. Different barrel is all that is needed.

I feel like people who dislike 300blk just completely ignore that is the only reasonable way to take an AR to 30cal or that it has been used for decades as the 300wisper.

Fixed that for you. The AR started as a 30 cal.....A 30 cal that stomps the **** out of the BLK.


I don't dislike the 300 BLK, I just don't have a use for it.

Yea the ar10.... That big heavy nightmare to anyone who doesn't walk around with their guns or shoot away from a bench.

I too don't have a use for the 300blk.

I'm not even sure why i have a 7.62x39. Probably sell it after the metering.
