So I need a hand here. Communist stuff is new to me. I snagged this today in a shop since it was so minty fresh, like unbelievably clean. All matching, but I thought Norinco rifles had Chinese markings. Tried Googling, but got conflicting info. Can any SKS experts on here tell me how old it is, value... Anything fun or exciting?

Not all, some where marked for export sales so no Chicom factory markings. bambam can confirm.

Besides, yours appears to be a very late pressed and pinned barrel model so it stands to reason it was intended for export to the Capitalist American Pigdogs' market.

Correct, they call those "prefix" rifles. The 91 means 1991. Most were fron the late 80's to early 90's.

1. Kelly's Heroes is awesome, and
2. I just learned something I didn't find on Google. The 91 being separated from the rest of the serial number makes obvious sense now.

The last question is what should I have paid for it? Need to justify my impulse buy... or beat myself up.
