How is the milsurp market these days?

That is gonna be tough but can still be found on some of the surplus sites and of course at a premium.
My son picked up an Mauser K98 on here (ODT) 2 years ago all numbers matching with beautiful bluing and perfect bore for 1000.00 and it was a buy of a lifetime (and i do mean all numbers down to the little parts inside with all perfect Waffen marks).
I am so Jealous of that purchase.
Edit: I thought he was looking for the rifle because reading is fundamental on my part.

He deer hunt’s with his other one lol. The man has a massive collection and hunt’s with an SKS. I had to promise I wouldn’t do anything crazy to it. He’s cool with a scope and duckbill mags though. I know Nothing about them except I Can’t wait to try it out.
