Nope.Is this a good deal on a FAL parts kit? $899.99 Should I enter the raffle?

Agreed. $900 is too much for that "kit." I don't care that there are only 400 of them. The grey-brown"ish" handguards are very nice and would bring a premium as a sell off, but damn. Still need a barrel, a receiver with ejector block installed, locking shoulder, selector switch, gas tube retaining pin, magazine release lever (pin & spring too), gas piston, handguard retaining ring and a combo device. You'll need about another grand to get the parts together and swap out 922r parts in the FCG for compliance.Without the barrel? No.
With the advent of the internet, I've about given up on the idea that good deals can be had at pawn shops. Most stuff I see anymore is so overpriced, it's not even worth attempting to haggle. Well, while helping my kid shop for an amp for his guitar, I stumbled across this - a matching numbers "dot" marked Nazi Mauser which I picked up for the princely sum of $400.
It is said that many if not most of the dot 1944 rifles were in fact made in very late1944 or early 1945, but this one appears to have been made in early 1944, as it has serial numbers where there should be serial numbers and later stamped parts but no Kriegsmodel features yet.
