How many kWh do you use in the summer?

my advice is to but their southern company stock since they are a monopoly that gets approved increases.. the bonuses of the executives just got an adjustment where the stock price is a bigger determining factor, so if you want to curb some of the growth costs in our state from manufacturing to server farms, id suggest buying some now.. look at the change in the past few months..

I used a little over 1300 kwh during this last billing cycle, and a little more than 600 kwh during the previous billing cycle.

1050 kwh
$206

OP, you have an issue, dude. No way it should be that high. Anyone near you tapping into your power? An out building somewhere that somebody has a drop cord plugged in or something? $600 a month is CRAZY.
Someone would have to drop a pretty long line. We are pretty spread out between houses. I do have a small workshop but the only thing plugged in is a box fan I have running so the air isn’t stale. If I get to a point where I can cut the power to everything, I’m going to for a few hours and see if the meter is still going up. It’s digital so I have to wait a bit for it to go up.

Honestly, I just despise Georgia Power and their greed. I see some above that are using the same or more on different companies and are paying half or less for the same usage. I don’t understand why WE are paying for them to build new facilities and have no benefit for doing so. Can you imagine if gas stations imposed an increase to build more gas stations on your dime? Horse****!

To warm for me but definitely seems to be working out good for you brother :thumb:

Mine is on 70 plus 4 kids and a wife leads to lots of laundry and opening doors to go outside. It’s amazing how fast having kids turned me into a close the door and stop going in and out nazi like my dad

Any improvements to any business, the customer pays for

Yeah ours is a single level (basement isn’t vented). And is 1500 sq. ft. There should be absolutely no reason for our bill to be this high. The only additional appliance we run that may be out of the norm is a small dehumidifier in the basement.

I’m curious if I cut my main breaker if that damn gauge will keep spinning. I wouldn’t put it past them to somehow fudge actual usage.

Our rental house is similar- $200/ month.
GPC.

Our new house is EMC. A Bit larger but with updated equipment & new insulation. ~$150/ month.
