Did not find a preexisting thread, which is weird.

My kid's new house has no disposal but looks to be setup for one. Where can I find a complete video or install tutorial on what I have based on the picture? There is a switch in the wall wired to an electrical box next to the disposal.

Easy, call a local plumber. They can do it in less than an hour plus, disposal. pipe, and fittings. If you do your tube install count on a 6 pack and many trips to HD.

City sewage or septic?
I’d steer clear of a disposal if you’re/they’re on septic unless you like bumping up the maintenance schedule. We actually have septic and our house came with a disposal. We only use it about once a month to send some Rid-x to the tank and clear out any residue our strainer didn’t catch.

Thanks for the info. House is on city sewer. His first house, so I want to set the pace where he needs to learn how to do things for himself vs hiring it out. When he gets old, become a fatass like me and in no shape to bend over, then he can hire out.
