Guys, so like the title says, any suggestions on keeping those pooping machines off my lawn and driveway? I did a little online research and didn't find anything particularly useful. Thought I'd get some suggestions from the folks here.

There is a pond about 300 yards from my house that I don't own and can't put wire around, so I'm stuck dealing with them. I get about 50 at a time on my lawn. I thought about putting some blanks in one of my cap and ball revolvers and scaring them with 6 rounds of holy black. It would be fun for me!

I have a neighbor across the street, so I have to be careful with any firearms. I don't want to kill them, just keep them off the lawn. Any of you guys fought this battle?

I don't have a good answer for you but many years ago I worked for Orkin as a salesman. (I starved)

The training they gave me said that birds associate an area with danger. So because of that, Orkin has products that you can put on a building ledge that makes the surface sticky and doesn't stop the birds from taking off but holds them down for a second. Enough to scare them and make them act scared. The other birds see the scared bird and decide to avoid the area. They've got other products that get progressively worse for the birds but you get the idea.

So as far as these geese go; I don't know what scares a Canadian goose enough to make it stay away. Maybe tossing some fire crackers near them. Not at them because I think there's some kind of law that protects them.
