Wakeing up at 603 for a 600 start up at work might just be a blessing, as long as im in it for half a VAC day might as well hit the woods. Just got in the stand.

Saw eight so far they are on the move
Missed a chance at a doe yesterday evening. Poked its head out then jumped back in and never came back.

Sounds like they might have saw you coming in. Try changing things up a bit. Enter into your location by a different route,even if it means walking further to get in. I had the same problem. Used the same two trails and never saw anything. Only to spook them walking in. But then I walked in from a different direction and moved my stand location about 40 yards past my main site,and that's what made a HUGE difference.
Yeah I found a killer spot it was off 83 but pared and walked about a mile in and found about a 20 acre pasture which was awesome

Not sure but definitely hadn't been hunted in years did see some great signs
