HVAC experts: Nest Install Help

I've tried to install my nest thermostat but unfortunately my current configuration isn't in the walk through. Any insights from the hvac guru's?

The Honeywell stat that is currently installed is wired for (2) heat stages (your mechanical unit may have two heat stages). The NEST thermostat wires the same way except for the two heat stages, the NEST manual may have a configuration for (2) heat stages.

W - Heat stage 1
W2 - Heat stage 2
Y - Cool stage 1
R - 24vac (+)
C - 24vac (-)

The OP's tstat is wired for a heat pump with 2 stages heat see bottom of wire connect

I would agree, it looks like the thermostat base can be used for multiple thermostats. It appears that the unit was wired for a HEAT Pump - the orange wire being the reversing valve.

Do you have one unit for a two story home? ( two thermostats, one unit and a variable valve in the attic..to control both

Had a Nest for a couple of years. Bit*h had a mind of it’s own. I think it was possessed…
Went back to conventional t stat
