I have my RMRed glock that I plan to never sell due to the $$ I sank into it. One day it may get the @railin93 treatment - then the ODT complainers will REALLY know I've devalued it!

I say do what you want with it! Glock are a dime a dozen @$400.

I'm not what you would really call a Glock guy but I took this in as a part of a trade and it kind of grew on me.

........ Gen 3 all the way and some 33 round mags........

Yep, you're right and that's one of the best things about Glocks.

But if you are using full size mags anyway, why not just have a full size (G17) Glock to use them in instead of one with a cut-down grip and slide made for concealed carry? You will have better control with the 17, and a slightly better sight radius. The larger pistol will soak up a little more recoil, and be more stable while shooting.

Also, a G17 wouldn't have a problem with the scenario I posted above, and you wouldn't have exposed magazine hanging out of the bottom of the gun, potentially causing malfunctions if hit or pressed to one side.

I just never saw why people want a small, compact pistol for their 'nightstand gun'. It defeats all the advantages of having a gun 'in place' in your home. Since it's never going to be carried, you can have a 'no compromise' pistol in that role. Yet folks seem to want to compromise it anyways.

All good points!

I'll try and get a pick of it when I get to the house later today.

Not the best job in the world but I don't do this for a living either. This is probably only the second Glock I've ever sanded, scalloped, smoothed and stippled.

It's also easy to blow a chunk of money on these things as aftermarket parts/support are endless.

What get's me... It's still not perfection :becky:. But, it'll do the job for EDC.

Oh, by the way, does anyone know if this is the frying pan finish or not? Tennifer? Sorry, I'm just ignorant about their finishes.
