Oh he
Maybe next time kindly let him what he did wrong? I'm not sure why every expecta first timers to know everything, basics included.

Good job for saying something. They likely didn't know or didn't realize what they were doing. Keeping your barrel pointed in a safe direction takes practice.

Lots of gatekeeping in this thread. You want to keep or expand your 2a rights? Its going to take an infuse of new people into the hobby. Give them a helping hand not a downward push.
Oh he got an earful. The guy beside him went up in and broke a industrial size pecker off in his rear end. Cursed and raised all sorts of hell. I had my two kids with me. We left in the middle of the arse reaming he got. I was all the way down at the other end so there were guys waiting in line to get their two cents in. They didn't need my help.

I’ve seen some uninformed posts here, but this one is way up there.

All firearms owners started in pretty much the same place.

Folks purchasing their first firearms this year are inherently less safe than the previous generations because..........why, exactly?

Folks doing stupid stuff with firearms are as old as firearms themselves. Looking down the muzzle, and fingering the barrel, weren’t invented this year.

if the new owners accidentally shoot half as much stuff as I have accidentally shot (including myself) over the years, I think we will all be ok.

Stupid people survive, I’m living proof.

Well I see that I need to clarify my original post as some cant see the forest for the trees, Please look beyond for the fallout from this unprecedented gun buying frenzy. Yes there will always be Darwinian Award candidates, I believe that because of the record number of gun purchases the shear number of accidental shootings will rise accordingly, and give cause to the number of gun grabber actions and bills.

And yes I have tried to politely explain the need for gun safety, sometimes I get an adverse reaction from the new buyer and sometimes from the sales(person)

Finally Some do Some do not understand the legal ramification of using a gun. What to expect in the after action time frame.

And finally,
I am Scared ...

Of all the anti-gun action headed our way!

Watch this Criminal Defense attorney explain:

When I was up in Pigeon Forge I went into Buds Gun Shop to browse. They were putting on a firearms class and the guy told me that it was mandatory to take a firearms safety course in order to get a CCP in TN. That is what EVERY state should mandate.
