To be fair, I havent. Its in a family members care and he is finally fed up with it and told me to come get it. He has tried about everything you can do if you can google it or youtube it. New key, ignition, computer, the battery trick, and about everything I found he said he has tried. No matter what, will turn on with the security light on for 5 seconds and then shut off.

It won't hurt to step through the programming/relearn steps and see if it fixes the problem. You never know if the other person did it correctly. Worse case scenario, the fix you're looking at means that you bought the car for $250. If it doesn't work, it's worth twice that for scrap - maybe more parted out.
