Yep, they were sister cars. Same underpinnings, just some minor cosmetic differences.
Mine would run like a scalded dog but then one day not even hot-rodding it the engine dropped a valve which promptly embedded into the piston and proceeded to chew up the head.
Made the repair and sold it. It also had an electrical gremlin where it would just randomly shut down. No bueno.
