I Grossly Underestimated the number of Trick or Treaters in my Neighborhood. I gave out over 250 pieces of candy….

I was living in a gated subdivision with minimum 1 1/2 acre lots, which translated into no trick-or-treaters.

My wife enjoys Halloween. Decorate the porch and living area throughout the house with too many to count items. Unfortunately we lhave a long driveway and have never had a trick or treaters in 20 years. Still buy candy just in case. Even put the house on a local map thingy telling kids to come by

We've had years where a 5 gallon bucket full wasn't enough and years where we've had zero and got stuck with a 5 gallon bucket full...we never know. We've tried guessing based on the school busses but that hasn't proven effective.

Several years ago, my wife and I lived in a state owned wildlife management area in Florida. Our drive was almost exactly 1 mile long, we damn sure never got any trick-or-treaters there.
