If my pants got holes in them it's because I work in them and every hole is earned and it's been 40 years since any of my clothes could be remotely referred to as "skinny".

It's the suits I don't understand. If you're in your 20s wearing that, you look "special". If you're over 40 and still trying to wear that, you just look like a pathetic imbecile.

I got my first suit 60 years ago.

Coat sleeves were supposed to come to the tips of your curled fingers, arms hanging down, Have had jackets made that way for 60 years.

My haberdasher keeps trying to get me to get a jacket like your picture, looks like part of a clown costume. I had a coat that looked nearly like that when I went through a growth spurt at 14-15.

Also, the T-shirt and suit thing, if I'm putting on a suit, I'm putting on a dress shirt and tie,

And those high water cuffs are what we always considered country.

I know that look is supposed to be fashionable, but it says to me "I didn't have time to get dressed, and I don;t really give a **** about how I look"
