For some reason I thought you were around Canton. If so, there is/was an AirGas in Holly Springs. They sell other welding/cutting equipment as well and could probably get you set up with the size you need.

I need to buy a tank and Argon/C02 gas for MIG welding - any recommendations around Cumming, Marietta, Cartersville?

I bought mine from the Airgas place in cumming. 100 cf size
Sidney Lee in Douglasville doesn’t sell the large tanks, only rents them. I bought a 125cf tank from them a few years back, but can’t remember what it cost. Costs about 50 bucks for straight argon fill…
You would rent the large one by the year and they exchange them for full ones when you need it, but you buy the gas…

Thats why I bought mine from Northern I guess. Rental doesnt make sense for the home gamer. I have no memory if they sold it full or if I had to go to Airgas though.

There’s also a welding suplly place in kennesaw right south of town on Main Street but I can’t remember the name
My son attended a private welding school on Main Street in kennesaw and that’s where the students got most of their supplies .
Be cautious buying a tank from a private seller
It’s Probabaly out of date and can’t be refilled .
Just buy a new one or rent
Usually the rent is free or close to it
We have to small argon tanks but I don’t know where we got em
You will want two tanks anyway
Since one will always run out when you need it
Just like the gas tanks for your grill on the back porch .
