Robski got 1666 rds through one of their rifles before the bolt failed... 
From what little I know the Florida built guns are supposed to be better than the Carolina built guns. But yeah Robski did NOT like I.O. or the owner of the company at all.
If you're just looking for an AK pistol super cheap then there's at least one Hellpup x39 listed on here. Just remember that Pioneer Arms is out of bidness now but then again so is I.O.

It's an AK. It starts out bad. The singular example of that one I had went back for work twice before it would cycle reliably. It was running when traded off. The recipient never cussed me so it probably didn't stop working immediately after.

Lowest priced ak you should go for is a century arms Romanian wasr or Draco.
Not that vska crap.
Also wbp would be good to stay away from since they are just commercial kits.
And any “made in Serbia” Zastava.
They have cast trunnions and so-so build quality on the US made guns, which is a recipe for eventual headspace issues, lug failure or trunnion rupture.
I wouldn’t own a pioneer arms personally lol

You don’t have to own multiple things for decades to determine if it’s **** or not.
There’s plenty that a straight junk..
You can tell plenty of newcomers to avoid vskas and other trash aks and they still don’t listen and go with em because they are “cheaper”

I noticed earlier you referred to the WASR as a cheaper AK variant. But it hasn't been what I would describe as cheap in about ten years. I owned one when they WERE cheap back in 2014 and mine was really rough around the edges. And while it may have been reliable or durable etc. it was nothing to brag about. But at least then they were $450.00. Now they start at around twice that much.
And by the way...what is wrong with Zastava? I own an M70 under folder that seems very solid and well built. Aside from being about the heaviest rifle I own I really dig it the most. It has the bulged trunnion and 1.5 mm receiver. How can that be cheap junk?
Some new production zpap m70s had cracked receivers , broken msg release springs among other problems .
