I.O AK pistol. Good or Bad

Well you just made me feel old bringing up Iraqvet.
When it comes to Romanian rifles I like the full length Draco’s.
Great sbr candidates
Don't hate on it but I was really considering buying the Pioneer Hellpup in 5.56 mostly because they're around $600.00 . Meanwhile every other 5.56 AK is close to twice that much. I know Pioneer went tits up in this country very recently and quietly. And I believe they used to provide the parts for the I.O. rifles . But I felt like that was a reasonable gamble on an AK that supposedly now has forged trunnions and bolts. Another AK channel guy named Klayco47 torture tested the rifle version with the FA conversion and it made it way further than I expected. In fact I think they eventually ran out of ammo. But I do believe the barrel drooped just like on the WASR and they safety wired it to the gas tube or something like that to keep it running.

I like the idea of owning a 556 ak.
But at the same time it’s blasphemy lol
I really wish I still had my Bulgarian 74
I used to think a 5.56 AK was blasphemy on par with a 9mm 1911. But with the imported ammo situation being what it is I can't help but look to that as being the future of AKs. Yes, 5.45 WAS a very effective round and I dig the look of the 74 style rifles but it's dead as disco now. So 5.56 seems to be the last man standing.
You mentioned WBP rifles earlier. Mishaco LOVES those guns. I can't blame him but damn! I've seen those rifles on GunBroker in the $4500.00 range and fairly regularly. Look I ****in LOVE AKs. I'm old enough to be a non tacticool non operator type that just prefers wood and steel. But at the same time I have to admit that these rifle are basically VW Beetles. Revolutionary for it's time but rendered obsolete a long time ago. Those of us who still prefer them are mostly just hard headed old bastards. So the point here is how deep do you want to invest in your old air cooled Beetle? I really love both but I also know they have their limits. It's kinda like saying you have the best most expensive technologically advanced VHS. Damn it stings to say this ****. But they're primitive rifles. No getting around that. All I can say is I like primitive ****. I'm try to find a pre 97 F 150 for my daughter right now.
Any of this make any sense?

I followed everything you said and I refuse to accept it 😂😂😂

Classic firearms was blowing out the pioneer 5.56 AKs for 450 when they went out of business. I couldn't not buy one at that price. From what I read on them the firing pin is the only weak point of the rifle. I don't have too many rounds through it but it's been fine so far and the build quality is pretty good. Hoping a weaker hammer spring will spare my firing pin.

I’m no expert, am barely an amateur, never assembled any.. and there’s prolly 200+ variants of them imported, very few folks have samples of them all.

You don’t get it, man. You only need a vague YouTube video from 15 years ago that was conveniently deleted, a sample size of 1 AK with no mention of make and manufacture, and a spring fed pond. The key is spring fed. If it’s not spring fed then the test doesn’t count.

Gents, serious question. I bought a Century C39V2 from my cousin to help him out for a down payment on a house. It’s got tons of upgrades to it, ALG trigger, SLR furniture, wood furniture, and Magpul. Is it worth it to get a polish milled receiver bolt carrier group, and do a barrel swap with a premium barrel? My cousin sold me the whole kit for $800. Is the receiver worth a damn enough to build up?

Not to sound like a hater.
Pull all the slr and nice stuff off of it.
Trash the gun and just get something. Ice or get a circle 11 kit build
