I shot someone last night...

I was coming out of a store last night with my wife and my car was parked at the back of the lot... it was kinda obscurred by some shrubs. As I approach I notice the driver door and passenger door is open and two black males (a third was behind the car I did not see) were rummaging around through my vehicle. I yelled at them and the one in the passenger seat took off running, the one in the driver seat fell out and then got up an ran. The 3rd one came around the back of my car with a glock 19 (i think) in his hand. It looked like he was about to run, but then stopped. I had already drawn my weapon as I had approached and when I saw the 3rd armed guy... I raised and shot 6-7 times. Chest hits from about 4 feet away.

So that was my dream last night. Very vivid, very tiring.. and for the first time ever, I actually engaged and shot someone... saw the blood, the facial feature, felt the fear.

Typically, my "shooting dreams" are more 007-esque where everyone is running around, sliding, ducking, rolling, judy chopping, etc. where nobody gets hit and I never get shot either. I attributed this type of dream to the fact I have never seen someone shot first hand so I figured my subconscience dream mind could not "comprehend" the actual act of a bullet impacting a person.

It was an absolutely terrible feeling, I woke up stressed and shaky. Just thought to share. So who else has shooting dreams? Realish versus hollywood?

Sometimes in a dream I'll pull the trigger but it will never be hard enough. I can't get the shot off.

and until last night.. that is exactly what mine were like. I could shoot and shoot and shoot and never visualize the bullet hitting the target. Matrix elevator scene style: plaster and wall chunks flying around, wood splintering, cars exploding. Never hit a person.
