How much does the Springfield operator run?

If you are referring to the TRP Operator then you are looking at something between $1,700-1,900. I think there are other model of the Operator as well, but they aren't cheap.

I have a Citadel 1911 45 compact, nice gun. I have had a Kimber and the Citadel shoots just as good and cost half the price. $500

It really depends on what your looking for. If you stick with quality you will never go wrong. For just a shooter most any will do well this day in age.

One exception to this... Nighthawk Custom Talon II.
But that will break the bank.
You can't go wrong with a springfield.

Kimber Custom II.....has to be my best shooting 1911. Smoothest action, best trigger, smoothest safety, tightest fit and best feeling.....I believe it feels better than my SA Loaded. Never had a malfunction and I've probably fired close to 800 rounds through it.

Hi Point makes a 45, it is not like a 1911 more like a cordless drill, but for the money..............
