I wasn't quite prepared

I have thought about it and I can't for the life of me figure out what they do to those rounds or make them worth that much per round.. Also if you buy a box and your rifle doesn't shoot good with it what then. I mean 6 dollars per round sure is a lot if it doesn't perform well.

Bud's Gun Shop has Hornady Match for 40 bucks and small change and they also have Barnes ammo for 36 bucks a box. Looks like I will be making a Buds purchase here pretty quick. Bud's consistently has the best prices on just about everything but sometimes I just forget abit them.

One shot and clean for 10 rounds. Then 2 shots and clean for 10 more. There are as many ways to go about it than I can count but I got that from another barrel manufacturer and just rolled with that one. I make sure the barrel is really clean after each shot.
It's not 1985 anymore.

It shot the white box Hornady match ammo to hit 1/2 lb. Tannerite containers at 300 and 350 yards. Bud's sells it for just over 40 bucks a box which is acceptable. I will shoot it until I collect enough brass to start reloading.

I sure am glad I didn't go with the 7 mm PRC. That wouldn't have been enjoyable at all. The 6.5 round is more there bearable and it was hitting 2900 fps. on the chronograph. I think I can up that a little bit with some creative reloading.

Were you happy with its accuracy?
Yes! Very happy. As the previous post mentioned it hit the orange label on the 1/2 lb. tannerite containers at 300 and 350 yards. That will do for me. I imagine when I start reloading that probably get more accurate if I can find the right load combo.
