I don't know too much about antique firearms. I inherited this rifle and did a little of my own investigation online. I would appreciate any help confirming my finds and figuring out the year of manufacture/anything else that's important to know about this gun. I'd be thankful for a general estimate of its value as well.

M1A1 Carbine (IBM):
EDIT: This is an M1 Carbine (IBM)

The M1 is a early production, based off the rear sight and not having a bayonet lug. IBM are more on the rarer side as far as total numbers produced.

on the luger, I'd venture to guess it wasnt a vet bring back since it has Made in Germany on the grip. But was probably imported pre 1968 due to not having the actual importers name on the gun. I could be wrong on that just a guess.

couldnt help with the identification but would you be interested in selling the Luger?
Once I know more about it. Yes, I'm interested in selling both of these in the relatively near future.

Edit: I am no longer interested in selling the Luger and am keeping it as a keepsake.

thanks for the info

The Luger appears to be a common commercial pistol from between the wars. Is it 9 mm or .30 ? Quite a nice gun, too worn for serious collectors and the left grip damage doesn't help.

Need to check if it's numbers matching.
