Why would you expect that they would change their ways just when they join the Army for some good benefits?

IDK about the no blouse "thing" but I think I remember reading somewhere that footwear was their choice now.
I don't agree with that but I am near 60 years old, commissioned in 1985. Different time then for sure. We always took pride in our appearance.

Beards are now okSaw worse at a restaurant in Warner Robins the other day. Beards, uniforms that weren't uniform, unfit, slovenly, etc. Wouldn't have flown (pun intended) when I was i was in the Air Force and definitely not in my time in the Army before that.
Let me add it was a mix of enlisted, NCO and junior officers.
