As for the two non-thinking adults, keep them away from our kids. We have enough destructive gangs in our society, we don't need to encourage them.
They are retards for sure but is this what our country has come to? Possibly handing out felonies for knocking a rock over? The dirt in my yard has been on the earth for two million years - should i be arrested for digging it up?
I agree with leave nothing but footprints and that's the way I operate but let's spend our time putting real criminals away. Give these guys a fine, make them do like 200 hours of community service doing whatever the park rangers want and let them learn their lesson and be an example for those kids of what not to do.
This shouldn't be national news. This shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as a felony. That's just making them an example the wrong way and teaching our kids to be hyper sensitive - a problem we already have enough of.

Seriously? This is even something that our justice system would even pay attention to? Every rock on the face of the planet is BILLIONS of years old. Construction companies destroy MILLIONS of tons of rocks yearly. Park Rangers purposefully dislodge and collapse potentially hazardous rock formations in parks all the time. This rock was loose and could have crushed someone eventually. Who gives a **** they knocked it over! Big oil companies dump billions of gallons of oil into the Gulf of Mexico, and it's not such a big deal. Billions of metric tons of toxic chemicals are spewed into the atmosphere and no one cares! Japan still has out of control radioactive meltdowns and here, the media takes the time to focus on some people pushing over a rock. The rock was not even injured during it's toppling.
