The guy was walking around with it….i saw him asked about it, he gave me a price, I declined, gave him a counter offer he declined. About an hour later he comes up and wanted to make the deal, he found something he wanted…so I ended up with it.

Yes Sir! Old ruger made them that way on purpose. Said when he designed it he wanted something that could shoot full house loads for the lifetime of the owner.

Heck yes, I love the GP revolvers !! They are strong for damned sure. In reality, Ruger makes the stronger stuff out there for common revolvers I think ! They seem to take the abuse for damned sure.

The only rugers I had issues with were a New model vaquero and a Super blackhawk. The vaquero locked up on me. The timing was off causing the blackhawk to shave. Sent them both to ruger and they were fixed in less than two weeks each and sent back to me. Ruger has always treated me right.
