Right, but I understand his point. I don't think he's worried about being the one that gets it so much as being one of the 1,200 that get treated so they don't get it.

Growing up in the 90's I remember our parents absolutely freaking the **** out anytime we got bit by a dog because we were gonna get rabies. It was a big deal

It was better in the 70s. Mom rolled her eyes and dad belittled you all the way to the door so you could complete your “stay the f out of the house” session.

Some people are just naturally scared of dogs. And they've been teased about their fear since Childhood. Their friends pick on them any time a dog is around. And it's a self fulfilling fear because dogs can smell and sense your fear which makes them nervous and untrusting of you which makes you even more fearful of them.

So when they see a dog get put down like this it makes them feel good. It's comforting for them to see other grown men with the same irrational fear. They feel justified themselves, so they justify any actions of the police.

I think it's proof most ppl. still have stronger caveman/monkey genes than others....NOT to be confused with the survival genes, totally different...but the same.....nevermind, I'm stoned and tryin to seek reasoning....LOL

The out come was sad and should of never happen. We can come up with a thousand shoulda woulda coulda but if the dog did bite the cop the dog would of been put down any way. I blame the owners of the dog. What if it was you just walking by, you going to take a few bite to the legs and arms before you pull and fire?????

Cop drives bye , tells kid to put a leash on the dog, kid goes to get leash, cop gets out of his car before the kid can leash the dog and cop shoots dog. Hmmm..

1) I've had that exact same scenario happen 100 times. Who hasn't? You just keep walking and the dog goes back to playing with the kids.

2) Yes, in that scenario I would take a few bites from the mutt before I shot my gun in that area.

This isn't a savage wild animal we're talking about, it's a 50lb (if that) mutt that you just saw playing like a big goofball with little children.

A grown adult man handles that situation without drawing his gun 100 times out of 100.
