Yep, not a big deal to me. I usually just say you’re welcome or no problem. I’m polite obviously.

Should have left the pog part out. I was a pog when I joined and latted over. I caught hell for it. Lol. But it kept me from having to do working parties as much, they just put me packing chutes.

I just say thanks , when asked what I did , I politely say I was a clerk and was proud to serve my country ( wife cringes every time I say this)
If I really said what actually did , 90% of them wouldn’t have a clue, sadly most Americans don’t get it , but that’s OK with me, I just smile and think I’m and old guy who’s job was one that most men died young. Hell even my daughters don’t know or have even asked.
I’m greatful that today I was thanked for my service !

I spoke to and thanked a friend (yesterday) who was is a Marine who was in Vietnam in 68.
He said that he learned to appreciate simple things in life like getting hot food and shower.
He went 90 days in Vietnam without a shower.

Yes we owe Veterans our deep gratitude.
