Is it legal to shoot deer at 3:30 a.m. in Georgia?

I'm in a discussion on Nextdoor where a woman is complaining that a hunter fired three rounds at a deer running across her front yard near the river this morning at 3:30.

I thought it was illegal to do so.

I doubt it. I'm just asking because I do not hunt deer and don't know if there'd been any changes to the roolz since I did back in the 90's.

I think maybe you don't get that far into it when someone shooting in your front yard happens. Maybe deal with the danger to self and property first.

Legal hours for hunting are 30 minutes before sunrise until 30 minutes after sunset, except alligators, raccoons, opossums, foxes, coyotes, bobcats and feral hogs which may be hunted at night.
