Is it safe to leave gun in hot car?

Hey guys,
Quick question. I have a 1911 I carry everywhere I can. However, work is sadly not one of those places so I am forced to leave it in the glove box most days. When I hop into my car after work it is HOT. To hot to touch even until it cools down. Is this dangerous in anyway, or bad for the gun?

Your fine. Takes 550 degree heat to get a bullet to go off. Your good to go. I leave an AK-47 pistol and 3 mags hidden in my car. Never had a problem and its like 140 in my car right now.

It takes well more than 120* (at most) air temps to manufacture every piece in your 1911, mags and ammo. Your ok.

I have clear LOS from my desk to my vehicle at all times, but yeah anywhere else it's definitely on my person
