Good prices on the internet at the moment, excluding shipping and HAZMAT look like this:
Remington 9½ Large Rifle primers $55/1000
Remington 6½ Small Rifle primers $60/1000
Remington 9½M Magnum Large Rifle primers $60/1000
If you're looking for 1000, Walmart is probably competitive, since a 'good' shipping price on the internet is going to look like about $15, and HAZMAT on top of that - although, if you search around, it's often possible to find a place that's waiving Hazmat and/or shipping.
If you're prepared to go to a different brand, you can get Magtech Small Rifle Primers for as little as $35/1000 from places like Miwall.
Them prices bring a tear to a tired old neckbeard's eye......
Prices aren't going to ever be what they were pre 2020. They are at least double even triple what they were then. It's probably going to be years if ever for powder to be available and the prices aren't going to come down that much either.
Reloading isn't going to die but it will still be around. I will be cranking the handles as long as I can. Newbies will have to decide if it's worth it or not for them.

When I retired I had plans to shoot more. The plans haven't changed but I just haven't made the time yet.

I enjoy reloading I just don't do it much and like basstracker89 says I just don't shoot as much as I should.
To me it has never been that economical but it sure is fun to shoot something you reloaded, especially if you kill a deer or a bird with a round you reloaded.
Target shooting can have the same gratification. Knowing you were able to tune the round to your firearm for better groups and/or scores.
As I think I noted in another thread, reloading (or in this case, hand loading) became far more exciting when I discovered my milsurp rifle reloads were more consistent than (expensive) commercial hunting ammo.
I never liked competing. Just like to shoot. I honed my skills young
