It's the opposite in middle GA. All the budget and mid range guns have been gone since the spring. Nothing left but Kimbers and a few Sigs.
The store in Warner Robins gets truckload shipments Monday Wednesday and Friday. But nobody there has any idea what will be in them.
Yeah, there are Kimbers and Sigs available here too, but the higher end guns are gone.
Gun stores aka: pawn shops in this area are well stocked and hovering around MSRP.
Most of the better guns like SIG, Walther and HK are in stock because people that just want a quick gun buy Taurus or those with a bit more in their wallet buy Glocks.
Revolvers and Bolt guns are everywhere

The stores around me have a little ammo if you are looking for 6.5 creedmoor. That is it.
Two local GS I go to near Athens both almost out of inventory. Guns and ammo.
Academy is dry on guns for the most part. Guess people that see a Guns and Pawn on signs, tend to overlook the Gun part. Some gun stores will still give you some wiggle room on price but Academy is what it is.
It pains me but I've been browsing stores I hate to even step in.
