Is this good advice for carry (your holster)?

standing around with your gun out might make you feel like a bad ass or a hero, but it also makes you a target. I'd rather be the fly on the wall and identify myself when safe/appropriate.

There are no trophies or awards given for "speed re-holstering" When you are finished with the event or engagement you slowly and precisely re-holster. For those of you who are "in the know", many Accidental Discharges" or "Negligent Discharges" occur when someone is trying to re-holster as fast as the firearm originally came out........WRONG!!!!!!!!!! Take your time, pay attention, and re-holster correctly. The lower limb or extremity you save, may be your own!!

I think being in the presence of a body and holding a firearm when police show up to investigate a shooting is just a bad idea. Getting shot by the cops would probably be a greater fear for me than getting shot by the perp. 1. Police are trained to shoot, they are far more likely to hit me. 2. They will show up in force, multiple officers exponentially increase the chance someone will get trigger happy or a case of the nerves and misinterpret who the bad guy is. 3. They have good, highly functional equipment, not hi points. 4.When the shooting starts it won't end until their slides are locked back, all present will participate. I am not faulting LEO in any way, this is how they seem to be trained and their mindset from the opinion of someone who is not in law enforcement. If I were them Going home at the end of the day would be my priority too.
