My water heater (electric) is about due for replacement. Does someone make a tankless electric water heater that works OK?? Our subdivision has NO GAS SERVICE at all.
I know Rheem and AO Smith makes them. But I’ve never installed an electric tankless, so I couldn’t tell you how well they work. What is making you think of switching to tankless?

my conventional builder grade water heater....house built in 2007...is starting to slow down and probably needs replacement in a year or 2. Just thought I might go tankless and be done with it for good.

The newer electric tank water heaters are more efficient now and have a quicker recovery. I know when the gas tankless water heaters started getting real popular we had a guy from Rinnai come to the shop and he told a story, it was about a guy that had three kids and his wife, said they kept running out of hot water. So he decided to switch to a tankless and after one month he wanted to switch back to a tank. Said the gas bill was through the roof. Because it didn’t run out of hot water and nobody knew when to get out of the shower. Lol

The whole house Electric tankless water heaters are no good. Would strongly recommend sticking to the tank type electric. the tankless electric water heaters are good for one or two sinks.

The house we have lived in for the past five years has a tankless hot water heater. It's funny when we are staying somewhere and my kids freak because they run out of hot water. I'd say we are spoiled. I don't think our is recirculate but it's awesome to be able to take several showers back to back and the last as hot as the first.

I have a gas tank. My house is almost 20 years old and is a 4 bed/2.5 bath. There are only two of us here. Would this be good or not so good deal?

I take it my gas cost would be about the same. Enlighten me.
