Item Description: Here's something you don't see every day. A Yugoslavian Steyr M95M. Yugoslavia converted M95 long rifles from 8x50R to 8x57 mauser by installing a 24" mauser barrel with mauser sights, shortening the stock, pairing a mauser style rear handguard with a front handguard, changing sling hardware, modifying the magazine, cutting a stripper clip guide in the reciever, thumb clearance, and modifying the bolt. This now fires from a 5 round single stack single feed magazine fed by a standard mauser stripper clip. This rifle is complete with the proprietary extractor and internal enbloc and is all numbers matching. The bore is in good condition. For some reason the serial number is stamped on the underside of the stock as well as on the side. I also included a picture of what might be a faint waffenampt. Did the Germans capture this and add the additional serial number? You be the judge. The rifle shoots great. I'm looking for a savage No4 Mk1, a US krag, a 1905 ross, or a Steyr 1912 in 7.62x51. Feel free to send in other milsurp trades.
