Item Description: Springfield Model 1884 Government 45-70. Really nice example of this historic rifle chambered in 45-70. Serial no. Indicates production between December 1891 to March 1892. Owned 20 years. Gun is in very good condition. Bore is good and bright. Beautiful brown patina with great stock. Ramrod Bayonet model. Tip of ramrod was converted by previous owner for cleaning. Fit is tight and secure with Buffington rear sight. All correct proof markings on barrel with Springfield engraving . Butt Stock plate marked U.S. 301. Values continue to rise on these rifles. Asking 850.00
