Item Description: Serial number dates to 1943-1944. No weld spots. This was not a re-welded receiver. Parts are USGI except for the rear sight and stocks. Extra commercial stock and handguard included. The attached stock is a Springfield Armory stock replacement as well with minor factory repairs. The magazine is USGI. No cracks in stocks.
Fired one pack of ammo through it. Zero malfunctions. 5 snap caps included.
Bore is fair. Still has maybe a few thousand rounds of life through it, but it is not brand-new looking. Great for a shooter or project M1 carbine.
The trigger guard was painted brown by the previous owner for some reason. That is not rust. I really wanted to keep this as a project gun, but I have neither the time nor the money right now for extra projects.
