Item Description: Non refurbished original 1955 Russian SKS from the Tula arsenal. This rifle is in immaculate condition. I Purchased it in 2001, put 20 rounds through it, cleaned it and put it away. CDI importers (no longer in business) purchased a large shipment of exclusively Russian rifles in 1993. Most of these were unissued and unfired. The 1955 guns from the Tula arsenal has a star stamped on the side of the receiver. This is truly a mint condition original gun and I hate to sell it. But this health crisis has put me in a bind.

Serious inquiries And conceal and carry permit holders only please.

How do you figure from the just from the picture?
Honestly curious....

If you are referring to the serial numbers stamped on the bolt per ATF ruling all imported milsurp have serials that it be a minimum size and in a obvious place.

I looked over a couple of other threads on refurb vs non-refurb on the sks boards...
Some food for thought and interesting discussions here.

Here is an another angle.

He's speaking of the black bolt. Do you have a good picture of the top of the dust cover?
All the same
I agree that an unissued rifle would not have a black bolt. But as others have said nice looking rifle.
Deff refurbished. Russian SKS's never came with black bolts out of factory. Refurbished sks rifles did.

I am not knowledgeable on Russians. I am only going on what’s been told to me by people who seem reliable. Including the importer at the time.

That makes sense about a parkerized bolt.

Thank you for the info.
