up for sale is a beautiful P1853 BSA Enfield. Stock is in like new condition with strong cartouches and markings. The metal is in fantastic condition and shows little wear. All parts mechanically function as they should. Cartouche on stock reads Swinburn & Son and has a crown over SH over 62 behind the trigger guard. Opposite side of stock is a 44 which I believe is the number for the craftsman that assembled the rifle. Rifle is a 25 bore which translates to .577 caliber. Rifle shoots beautifully and holds a tight group.
