IWB Conceal Carry?

I used to refuse to carry IWB because it was so uncomfortable. I recently picked up an Aegis Armory Shield for my XDS and have carried it most every day with it.

Check out http://www.theoutdoorstrader.com/threads/367115-Local-Holster-Makers for a list of local holster makers.

The key with IWB carry is to have pants that are a size or two too big or to have pants with stretchy waist band.

And now for something completely different...

I prefer the minimalist approach to IWB.

Versa-carry.

Worn at 3:30 and canted forward. Wear this in the cooler months when I have a tucked-in t-shirt.

In these hot summer months I pocket-carry Ruger's new and improved LCP.

Good luck finding what works for you!

Man, I'm sorry. That just scares the hell outta me. I have this paranoid NEED to cover the trigger. Maybe in conjunction with a Mic holster that would work, but even so I doubt it. That still puts the gun unprotrected from sweat real close to the skin.

I agree it's not for everyone. I only wear it when I wear a t-shirt, so the gun isn't touching my skin. The "paddle" portion of the rig covers the trigger away from your body.

And I'll add this isn't a good solution if you un-holster/re-holster multiple times a day. You have to remove the rig to re-holster.

But it's inexpensive and works for what I need it to do and weighs almost nothing.

Another thing I REALLY like about the Cook's holster is that it is molded around the safety of a 1911 and makes it almost impossible for it to be accidentally knocked to off safe.

I OWB carry my Glock 27 in one of these:

It's really a single this strip of leather with belt slots. When the gun is "in" the holster is is held firmly between the holster and the belt. And the width of the gun is countered by the hight of the trigger guard to top of slide dimension so it self adjusts. Toss a shirt over it and it's forgotten but not gone.

^^^^Got one of these to just have not used it yet. Will give it a try.

I remember when I got my first one. I thought I had been screwed big time. Just ONE strip of leather? But being stubborn I tried it on. WOW! I was impressed. Nice snug fit. ANd the ability to just flatten it if you are going in somewhere that you can't carry is great. It also fits everything from my PM40 to the P14-45. The only thing I DON'T like about them is a 5" 1911 rides low enough that the barrel hangs half way down your leg. I now have a few of these. Two or three unopened for later and a black one and a brown one for different belts. At 10 12 bucks a piece keeping a few spares is no problem.
