If it's just something you want to have fun in, I'd consider an older jeep that was near stock that you can build it however you want. I recently bought a 92 and I'm still in the processing of rebuilding it. By the time it's all said and done I'll have ~1/4 of the cost of a newer jeep in it. There is something about taking a new or close to new vehicle off road, knowing that it could get hurt, that bothers me. I've got a buddy that bought a 2016 4-door Rubicon new, and took it to jeep fest the same month he bought it, and tore the front quarter panel off, and ruined the alternator.but I want something that I can just have fun in...
Here's THE gayest one I ever saw. This mo' works with my wife. I will hold my comments on the fact that it has four door. Just look at the stickers and cheesy accessories. Some folks just gotta be attention whores.

Poor mans g wagongayest one i ever saw was in high school in the late 90s, maybe 00 or 01......it was a lowered jeep wrangler....yes....you read that right...a lowered wrangler....on big stupid rims of course....it was purple or yellow, cant remember the color. but i distinctly remember it being lowered at least 3 inches, maybe 4.
Will it have a v8 or a diesel 6? It will be tough to compete with the Tacoma.Looks like a hard rock met pepboys.
