I'll shoot whatever shows up. Horns just means extra meat!! That's as long as the deer is big enough for the processing charge. I have all the horns off every buck I've taken. The largest ones I've had mounted in a shoulder mount. I don't think I could stomach the cost now, but I'd save horns and put it in my collection. My largest, a 12 pointer, I found while walking my property. It was a complete deer skeleton. I just brought the horns home with meThis is why I have stopped shooting trophy deer. Spikes and fork horns only for me![]()
That's what I'm also doing now. I got this year's back in less than 2 weeks. Just 1 full mount for the wall, it was my 1st Ga. buckEuropean skull mounts. All I do anymore
