Just got a cancellation from my auto insurance. Looking for a new one.

I've been with ALFA Insurance for about 2 years now. Noissues and no claims. Have had several accidents that were the other drivers fault which cost ALFA NOTHING to resolve. I received a letter today stating that they will no longer provide insurance due to a high risk factor. I am a single white male and have two daughters 21 years or younger in age. Anyone in the same bracket with the same age group of kids have a positive auto insurance story you can share? I have been happy with ALFA up to this point an never been late on a premium but they feel I am some sort of "threat" so I must be cancelled. Looking to move my home owners and auto. Currently have a sweet rate, which I believe is the reason for my cancellation. My agent has been outstanding, the cancellation came from corporate.

Aren't you prior military??? What about USAA??

USAA, the worst company to deal with a friend ever had to deal with their client hit a friend of mine they had to do the following:

Take the car to them/their approved body shop only... (it was in a very seedy part of town)

They only used refurbished body parts... (out of salvage yards)

They only pay for rental car when your car/truck is actually getting worked on.. (Not the time you dropped it off or it was hauled to them) you are responsible to keep the body shop alerted to what the insurance will and will not do, you have to inform the insurance alerted as to progress of the repair.

Get a rental before they allow you to and you pay the bill...

Maybe great rates but do not get hit by their insured, or you get the can, of bills to pay.

So you better know the right questions to ask. He finally sued the insured which then their insured turned it over to USAA, and then he got his insurance involved took about 3-5 months to get everything resolved.

Geico, ain't piece of cake either.

just a simple suggestion to consider with any insurance company...

If you have to use the insurance and being their client you have to get your car fixed because you hit someone you get the same treatment...
Mirrors my experience with USAA. Someone with USAA insurance rear ended me. Could take car only to Abra. Had to fight to get and keep a rental, had to refuse work twice. Kept my car longer because they kept looking for used parts. Finally ordered new parts when could not find any used ones. Carrolton Abra sucks monkey balls every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Hate Abra and hate USAA.

I went with Safeco a few years back. Was with State Farm for 20 years, but rates kept going up and they wouldn't come down on price. I've been happy with them so far
