They are usually inland birds but when there is a drought on like now they come to the coast.

True now you go to jail for a long time but idiots still get caught at airports, usually with dead birds because they have no idea.

You probably already know that there are several types of Cockatoos. But there's a very rare one that's shiny black with a red spot on both sides of it's head. Commonly referred to as the Palm Cockatoo or Funeral Cockatoo . Beautiful bird with a very limited diet. Way back in the 80s there was a park in Miami called Parrot Jungle. They had ONE along with thous7of other exotic birds. It was so cool because they would just open the cages in the mornings and the birds would fly free and then come back at feeding time. One of the early 90s hurricanes destroyed the park.
The cool part about birds is that the bigger birds actually want to be around people most of the time. Cockatiels in particular are very friendly. Love birds too. On the flip side you have the African Greys and Amazon Parrots that are great talkers but usually NOT friendly. In fact most African Greys I've seen were pretty mean.
