Yup I agree Benchmade is mostly all I carry anymore. Kershaw is good too but I had some issues with the liner lock and decided to stop carrying them

I just picked up a Kershaw Oso Sweet for $23.00, It has speed safe assisted opening, very fast deployment. Blade was nearly razor sharp out of the package. Overall quality is very good. Great value. Over two dozen reviews on youtube.

All depends on what you are using it for.

I own: Kershaw,Benchmade,Microtech,Victorinox,Gerber,Spyderco,CRKT,Buck,Zero Tolerance,ESEE,5.11,Kabar,Tabor custom & a few others. Each could fill a useful, proprietary role. It all depends.

I think it should be illegal to not have a blade on your person

Automatics are cool because you can operate them with just one hand.

Some folks like the clips on their knives but I removed the clip from my Kershaw Leek. I do like the assisted opening feature. You can open with just the flick of a finger with one hand.
