I'm afraid that's everywhere. Publix seems to be a step up, but don't have as many good deals. I guess the better the prices, the more the riffraff.

Surprisingly the Food Depot, which looks ghetto is the nicest grocery store around. I don't think they have an employee under the age of 35, customer service is great and the store is always clean and orderly except for the ebt queens and their unruly crumb snatchers they drag with them everywhere

I would get a smaller one and build your fire on one side of the grill meat on the other, run it low and slow

charcoal snake always tastes like soot because you are always starting new charcoal instead of cooking on white embers.

I’ve done it before on a Weber kettle. Just takes a lot of monitoring during the cook. Might smoke it a few hours then finish in the oven to regulate the heat better.

I thought the same thing till a friend gave me some he did using the snake /wood chunk method and it was fantastic.
