Now your talking,stay after them the winter time and early spring is when you will catch that big one.I have been catching them at Lanier for over 20 years now and couldn't tell you how many in the 20's that I have caught and quite a few in the 30's.

Thanks! It's a 2014 Olive green Hobie Outback with all the Hobie upgrades. I installed a Humminbird Helix 5 gps/si/DI, 2 Scotty extended rod holders flushed into Hobie rod tubes, Hobie Ama kit for stability, and seat has been upgraded to a special needs bath chair that I found at goodwill for $6. They retail for over $300.

How does it do in really shallow water like a river w/ rocks and such?

Its an open water yak. I'll go with a Jackson coosa or wilderness systems ride 115 for skinny water with jagged edges

Nice fish. I bet a striper would give you a ride in a kayak. Makes me want to drag mine out dust them off and get them wet again.
