pilots body recovered

was wondering why Columbus police helicopter was doing that far in Alabama.
story said it was flying to a maint facility

Appears the pilot was was flying at a low altitude up a river and hit some power lines that crossed the river

He was a fixed wing cfi, not a helicopter guy. He was giving a ride along to the young man.
